2. No data collection by us

TaskMaker does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us.

The app works entirely locally on your device. We do not perform tracking, collect usage statistics, or store any information about your use of the app.

3. Local data storage

All files you upload, transcribed texts, and created tasks are stored exclusively locally on your device. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly export it (e.g., by sharing tasks or reports).

4. OpenAI API

Important notice: TaskMaker uses the OpenAI API to analyze texts and extract tasks. When you use the app, your content may be transmitted to OpenAI to perform the AI analysis.

What does this mean for you?

• Your uploaded texts or transcribed audio content will be sent to OpenAI
• OpenAI uses this data according to their own privacy policy
• We have no influence on how OpenAI handles this data

Your API key: If you use your own OpenAI API key, communication occurs directly between your device and OpenAI. We have no access to this communication.

5. Permissions

TaskMaker requires the following permissions:

• Microphone (iOS): For direct audio recording in the app
• Speech Recognition: For transcribing audio files
• Reminders: To add tasks to the Reminders app
• File Access: To open text and audio files

All these permissions are used exclusively for the described functions and not for tracking or other purposes.

6. App Groups and Share Extension

TaskMaker uses App Groups to share data between the main app and the Share Extension. This data is stored exclusively locally in a shared container and does not leave your device.

7. Your rights

Since we do not store any data about you, there is no data that we could delete or provide to you. All your data is stored locally on your device and can be removed at any time by deleting the app.
